BUILD BREAKTHROUGH MINI APPS FOR WORLD APP'S 30M+ USERS.
FWB and World present World Build: an immersive program for bold founders to build breakthrough applications for World App’s 30M+ global users.
World Build assembles top developer and founder talent to rapidly ideate, prototype, and bring Mini Apps to the real human network. The program opens with a hybrid hackathon, followed by a week-long build retreat in Buenos Aires and ongoing virtual cohort programming.
Builders get hands-on support from World’s ecosystem and product teams, and mentorship sessions from domain experts and seasoned entrepreneurs. The cohort culminates with a live Demo Day at World HQ in San Francisco to a curated audience of top tier VCs. Successful projects are eligible for grant funding from World Foundation. World Build 2 runs September to December 2025.
ONE
Hack virtually or in person at our kick-off event in San Francisco or at other World Build Hackathon pop-up locations. Up to $5,000 in prizes. Top teams advance to Stage 2. Apply as an individual or a team. Apps already live on the World welcome; just submit your miniapps as part of the hack, along with your growth plans.
TWO
Top teams from Stage 1 advance to the fully funded Residential Build Sprint in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2 people per team). Over 8 days, the cohort builds alongside World’s product and ecosystem team. Top projects are eligible for grant funding from the World Foundation.
THREE
The cohort moves on to a 3-month virtual build program with weekly standups, World team office hours, and workshops from seasoned founders, builders, and investors.

IN SAN FRANCISCO
Teams pitch to a curated audience of top VCs and World senior leadership at the World Build Demo Day at World HQ in San Francisco.
World Build is open to builders with a bold idea or creative vision ready to build hyper-scale applications.
- Solo founders & teams are welcome to apply
- Must have working knowledge of English (Applications can serve any language)
- Must write your own code (non-technical founders can meet technical founders during the hybrid hackathon)
- Must be able to travel to Buenos Aires and San Francisco during the program
